You are the general manager, not the coach. Take over one of 30 basketball franchises and run the front office: trade with rival GMs who remember how you dealt with them, work the draft through scouting fog, negotiate contracts with agents who walk away if you lowball them, and set the tactics. Then either sim a game in six seconds or watch it play out on a live 2D tactical board with full play-by-play commentary. The owner reviews you every ten games on three separate contracts.
